"Gender Roles in Supervision: Implications on Supervisor Style and the Working Alliance" (Planning)
Matching supervisors and supervisees on gender-related attitudes has been found to be a stronger predictor of outcomes in supervision as compared to pairing supervisors and supervisees based on biological gender characteristics (Inman et al., 2014; Rarick & Ladany, 2013). Drawing on recent findings by Rarick and Ladany (2013), the current study explores how supervisor endorsement of stereotypical gender roles impacts supervisory style and the working alliance. An anonymous online survey will be distributed via professional organization listservs with the aim of sampling ninety clinical supervisors. It is hypothesized that supervisors who endorse primarily masculine roles will endorse a more task-oriented supervisory style, supervisors who endorse primarily feminine roles will endorse a more attractive or interpersonally sensitive style, and supervisors who endorse both masculine and feminine roles will demonstrate a more flexible supervisory style. Furthermore, it is hypothesized that those supervisors who endorse both masculine and feminine roles will report stronger working alliances. A one-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) will be conducted to test hypotheses. Limitations of the current study and implications for supervision research, theory, and practice will be discussed.

"Initial Development and Validation of the Attitudes towards Telesupervision Scale." (On-Going)
I am in the process of developing and validating a quantitative scale to assess attitudes toward telesupervision. Just completed data collection

"Race Related Events in Supervision" (On-Going)
Would like to evaluate the Critical Events in Supervision Model using Race Related Events. Will explore questions such as: 1. What types of RRE do trainees experiences in supervision? 2. What interventions do supervisors utilize to tend to these experiences? 3. What is the relationship between supervisor intervention and resolution of critical event? 4. What is relationship between RRE, supervisory working alliance, and supervisor multicultural competence as it relates to race? Data Analysis will include: 1. CQR-M for open ended questions 2. Multiple regressions for quantitative data to explore the relationships

"Resources of Resilience on High School Completion" (On-Going)
The primary purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between individual, relational, and communal/cultural resilience and high school completion for African-American individuals. Two research questions frame this study: (1) Are participants with greater resources of resilience more likely to complete high school? (2) Which form of resilience is associated with higher rates of high school completion?
