Tom Mitchell, Ph.D. is an associate professor of psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Baltimore where he teaches courses in the industrial and organizational master’s degree program.
Tom received his master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology and his Ph.D. in social psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to his teaching and research he has consulted extensively to both private and public sector employers in the areas of employee engagement, management development, employment selection, performance appraisal, worker motivation and organizational assessment. Much of his consulting and research over the past fifteen years has been conducted in collaboration with the Schaefer Center for Public Policy in the School of Public Policy where he is a Faculty Fellow.
