University of Essex MSc and UBalt MBA
A dual degree 1+1 (24 month) program

Program Format
Your first year of the joint program will be spent at Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK. Upon completion of any of the following programmes you will be eligible to apply to the University of Baltimore MBA program.

- MSc Banking and Finance
- MSc Finance and Investment
- MSc Financial Engineering and Risk Management
- MSc Finance and Data Analytics
- MSc Finance and Global Trading
You will then be considered for priority admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Merrick Business School, University of Baltimore, USA where you can complete the MBA within one year (normal course duration is two years).
On successful completion of your studies you will have an MSc degree awarded by University of Essex and an MBA awarded by University of Baltimore--both accredited by AACSB. You also be an alumni of two different business schools and have access to a wide range of career support.

Entry Requirements
Your initial application will be to the University of Essex. You must meet the standard entry requirements for the postgraduate programme. Typically this is a 2:2 in your undergraduate degree, in addition there may be subject specific requirements for some courses.

During your time at University of Essex you will be required to submit an application to the University of Baltimore to continue your studies on the second part of the programme. The application will be made online and the standard application fee will be waived for students applying through the joint programme. You will be required to submit a full standard application in addition to a transcript of your study at University of Essex to date.
Should you decided to work immediately after graduating from the University of Essex programme, the University of Baltimore will extend the admission deadline for one year. You may choose to begin your studies by enrolling in the UBalt Online MBA programme.
You must pass all modules in terms one and two, and the dissertation, at University of Essex with an average grade of 60 or higher to progress to the MBA at University of Baltimore.
Aside from the considerations made above, standard entry requirements for both the University of Essex and University of Baltimore will apply.

UBalt Application Requirements
Submit your official transcripts from your University of Essex master's programme and your undergraduate program if it was in business administration or related fields.

Timing
Your year at University of Essex will commence in October and finish in September. There will then be gap in your studies whilst you wait for your final degree classification from University of Essex in order to fully confirm your place at University of Baltimore. Your year at University at Baltimore will commence in the following January and finish in December.

Tuition and Fees
Standard fees for the full MSc programme at University of Essex and the number of MBA credits required at University of Baltimore will apply.
