Overview
We are proud to collaborate with our University System of Maryland sister institution, University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) to offer their students in the Master of Science in Engineering Management program access to the UBalt MBA program and for our MBA students the ability to enhance their degree by taking courses in project management or engineering management at UMBC.
UBalt doesn't have and engineering school and UMBC doesn't have a business school. This collaboration allows the strengths at each school to benefit their students. The agreement provides UMBC students in the Masters of Science in Engineering Management who are interested in career-oriented graduate education in business an opportunity to enhance their degree by taking business-oriented courses. Similarly, students in University of Baltimore’s MBA program will be able to enhance their degree by taking courses in project management or engineering management.
In 2024, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed allowing students enrolled in specific programs at each institution to transfer credits towards completing a degree at the other.
This partnership provides students with a unique opportunity to:
Expand their skillset: Gain valuable knowledge and experience in both business and engineering or information technology, making them more competitive in the job market.
Pursue career-focused education: Tailor their education to their specific career aspirations.
Benefit from the expertise of both institutions: Gain access to the renowned faculty and resources of both UBalt and UMBC.
Here's what this means for students:
