Virtual Global Field Study

For Graduate and Advanced Undergraduate Students to Work with multinational teams and startups from around the world.
Every year, the Merrick School of Business offers our students the unique opportunity to travel to different countries, get fully emerged in local cultures and work on real-life projects. Some examples of our recent programs are: Ghana 2017, 2020, Finland 2019 and France 2018. As travel opportunities are limited due to the current circumstances, we are proud to offer an innovative online program that provides an immersive international business experience featuring in-depth interactions with companies as well as students from other universities across the globe. Given the success of our winter edition, we are pleased to offer it again during Spring Break.
This course takes you directly into the reality of businesses. With the globalization the economy, it is not uncommon to work in virtual teams with people and business from other countries, cultures, markets and time-zones! By virtually connecting with teams of business students and with innovative startups from around the world, you will garner the experience of being part of a multinational team in the global post-COVID-19 business-world.
This global field study is organized by the Merrick School of Business in conjunction with partners from around the world. You will be working in teams in order to address real-life business challenges presented by innovative startups from across the world. The opportunity to discuss and tackle real business issues in an international setting will provide a significant learning opportunity and unforgettable experience to all.
This virtual study abroad course fulfills the requirements for: MGMT 498 or MGMT 798 Global Field Study: Management Strategies (3 credits) Prerequisite: MGMT 605 or MGMT 600 for graduate students, MGMT 302 for undergraduates.
>> All students must be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.2 GPA.

>> Spring semester; Course provisional dates are Mar. 15-19, 2021. One-week intensive online activities with synchronous and asynchronous expectations.
>> Pre-Course and Post-Course Meetings: There are two required pre and post-course virtual meetings via Zoom. Dates to be determined.
>> Course Application Deadline: Jan. 28, 2021
>> Course Registration Deadline: Feb. 1, 2021
Only cost is tuition and fees for a 3-credit course. No Wright Global Scholarship funds are available.
