Pratt Library & UB Live!, a collaboration between the University of Baltimore and the Enoch Pratt Free Library to bring a wide range of authors to campus for readings and talks, will host the Annual Cave Canem Poetry Reading, featuring Camille Rankine and Reginald Dwayne Betts, on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. in the William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center's M. Scot Kaufman Auditorium, 11 W. Mt. Royal Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
UB and the Pratt Library launched the new author speaker series in November while the Pratt's Central Library undergoes a nearly four-year renovation and restoration project. During this period of improvements, the two institutions will partner to host award-winning and best-selling authors.
The Pratt's Annual Cave Canem Poetry Reading is a nod to Cave Canem, an influential home for African American poets with a commitment to cultivating their artistic and professional growth.
