Latino students who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll at the University of Baltimore are encouraged to apply for a Featherstone College Scholarship, a $2,000 merit-based award to attend UB. The application deadline is March 4.
The scholarship is the result of a partnership between the William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation and the Consular Section of the Mexican Embassy in Washington, D.C. The partnership is intended to increase Baltimore's Latino college enrollment and promote higher education.
The Featherstone scholarships are open to high school seniors who plan to start their first semester at the University of Baltimore, undergraduate students transferring to UB, and current UB freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. Interested students who meet the criteria may apply online by the application deadline.
Over the past two years, the William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation awarded Featherstone College Scholarships to deserving and talented students through a partnership with the Consular Section of Embassy of Mexico and the University of Baltimore. Last September, 10 Latino students received $2,000 merit-based awards to attend the University of Baltimore.
