UBalt Ranks High for Social Mobility, Earnings and ROI

The University of Baltimore continues to earn national recognition for social mobility and earning performance. In the latest rankings, U.S. News & World Report recognized UBalt as a top regional performer for social mobility. Washington Monthly positioned UBalt in the top 25 percent nationally and at #4 among Maryland public master's universities for social mobility. UBalt has frequently been recognized for its ability to graduate students into well-paying jobs.
Washington Monthly also deemed UBalt #1 for earning performance among Maryland public universities, both in the Top Master's Universities category and in the Best Bang for the Buck—Northeast category. The University sits in the top 5 percent of master's universities in the nation for earning performance 10 years after entering college. These new rankings echo the results of another recent study. Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce puts UBalt in the top 25 percent nationally for net value over four decades, signaling a positive return on investment throughout a graduate’s career.

Each rankings organization has its own methodologies, yielding different results, but rankings examine factors such as academic performance, cost of attendance, student-faculty ratios, and graduation and retention rates. Some broaden measures of value to also consider quality of student life, professors and location.

Washington Monthly
The University of Baltimore is a top master's university, earning a spot in the top 25 percent nationally—#4 among Maryland public institutions.
It also earns top accolades on the America's Best Colleges for Student Voting list.
Forbes
UBalt was named to Forbes' 14th annual list of America's Top Colleges for 2022.
Niche
UBalt ranks #1 for online friendliness, based on its array of fully online options, and safest college campus among Maryland public universities. Its midtown campus also earns the #1 spot for best location in Maryland (#82 best in America).
The University is also considered among the state's best schools for veterans, adult learners, business, professors and student life. It ranks third on Maryland's Top Public Universities list.
U.S. News & World Report
UBalt is named one of U.S. News' Top Public Universities in the North—which comprises Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, New Jersey and New England—and made its national list for the Best Undergraduate Business programs. Graduate and law programs earned their accolades from U.S. News earlier this year.
The Merrick School of Business continues to shine for its top online MBA program, both overall and for veterans. This marks the 12th consecutive year UBalt's online MBA has made U.S. News' list. The business school is also recognized for its part-time MBA, earning the #2 spot among Maryland public schools.
The College of Public Affairs' Master of Public Administration program, the first in the state to be fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), continues to be ranked in the nation's top 25 percent, where it has been for the past six years.
