In the newly released 2024 edition of the Best Graduate Schools in Public Affairs from U.S. News & World Report, The University of Baltimore's College of Public Affairs has been ranked #70, tied with Auburn University, Northeastern University, Penn State University, the University of Massachusetts and the University of Oklahoma. With 271 schools ranked in total, the College of Public Affairs is in the top third of the best public affairs schools nationwide.
"This ranking represents confidence in the quality of our programs by our peers," said Roger Hartley, dean of the College of Public Affairs.
The U.S. News & World Report annual rankings of public affairs programs are based solely on the results of peer-assessment surveys of deans, program directors and department chairs representing master's programs in public affairs and administration across the country.
"We remain on the rise and on the national stage in public affairs, and I am most proud of our incredible faculty, staff and centers of excellence who offer our students a world-class educational experience," Hartley said. "Initiatives like the Schaefer Center for Public Policy's NextGen Leaders for Public Service program—which connects students interested in careers in government and public service to paid internships—have added to our national reputation."
