Schaefer Center's Certified Public Manager Graduation Ceremony Set for July 10

More than 40 supervisors and managers from small municipalities, counties, state agencies and nonprofit organizations will participate in the Class of 2024 graduation ceremony of the Certified Public Manager Program administered by The University of Baltimore's Schaefer Center for Public Policy. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 10, beginning at 11 a.m. in UBalt's Wright Theater, 21 W. Mt. Royal Ave.
The ceremony will feature capstone presentations by three candidates who will be recognized with awards for their outstanding projects. The presentations will be followed by the presentation of certificates to 44 program participants.
The Maryland Certified Public Manager (CPM) program's mission is to promote excellence in public management by providing comprehensive training in the core competencies of public sector management. The program leverages the expertise of faculty of the University's College of Public Affairs and practitioners to deliver an academically grounded and job relevant curriculum that promotes cross-sector collaboration and prepares candidates for the work of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The Schaefer Center is the only authorized provider of Certified Public Manager Training in Maryland. The program is accredited by the National Certified Public Manager Consortium and is one of 44 CPM programs across the United States and the Netherlands.
