The Job Location and Development Programs supports talented and motivated students in securing meaningful internships off-campus. Gain real world experience at host sites including nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and more.
All students can receive support, including undergraduate, graduate, and law students, regardless of Federal Work Study eligibility. We’ve got you!

Students who have been awarded Federal Work Study can utilize their award for off-campus internships with our host sites.

Internship opportunities are available in-person, remote, and hybrid. Students can work between 6 - 19.5 hours per week at any point during the semester.
Have you spotted a great internship outside of our current host sites? Contact the JLD Coordinator at
cbaez@ubalt.edu and we may be able to set up a partnership to have you receive compensation via your FWS award.
Students who do not have a Federal Work Study award can still receive support in securing paid and unpaid internships. Students can apply for internships at our host sites (unpaid) and receive the following benefits:
