The Alumni Relations Assistant provides operational support for the Offices of Alumni Relations and Donor Relations. Maintains the flow of the offices’ daily activities and serves as a front-line staff person for UB constituents including alumni, donors, faculty, staff, students and friends of UB. Provides support in the planning and execution of alumni programs, services and events designed to encourage interaction and engagement between alumni and the University, including programs that increase awareness about the UB Alumni Association with current students. This position also provides resource assistance for alumni events in the four schools (College of Public Affairs, Merrick School of Business, School of Law and the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences), as needed. Manages daily operational activities and provides support for the Offices of Alumni Relations and Donor Relations.
Assists with the coordination, execution and follow-up for University-wide alumni events which include, but are not limited to: regional happy hour and networking events, program-focused reunions, volunteer appreciation and career-related programs, and donor events.
Coordinates quarterly Alumni Advisory Council meetings and other meetings, as needed.
Requires the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and to manage general office needs such as maintaining central files and supplies. Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills. Ability to respond to constituent inquiries in an appropriate, professional and timely manner. Strong communication and writing skills. Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy while meeting required deadlines. Ability to identify conflicting priorities and bring issues to the attention of supervisor, as needed, for resolution. Highly motivated, proactive, energetic and eager to learn.
Some evening and weekend work may be needed for events. Advance notice will be provided.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Baccalaureate degree in a related field or discipline that would contribute to the success of the incumbent.
Experience: Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office products and ability to broaden computer software knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communication, or other related fields/disciplines.
Experience: Raiser’s Edge experience, Adobe Creative Suite experience and experience with
other design and publishing software a plus.

•For country, enter USA or click the hourglass to select another country.
•You can use the first day of the month wherever dates are required.
•Click the plus sign to the left of "References" to enter two professional references.
•After you enter your education information and references, click “Save,” then click “Next.”

•After you enter this information, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
