The University of Baltimore ("UB" or "University"), School of Health and Human Services is seeking a candidate for a full-time faculty open-rank position beginning in August 2016. The position is a full-time faculty open-rank position for the Health Systems Management Program (“HSMG”) housed in the School of Health and Human Services. The HSMG undergraduate program is accredited through the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (“AUPHA”). Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in health care or health care management related fields. Candidates should have a record of scholarly activities appropriate to their rank and clearly demonstrate the potential for quality university instruction and service to their profession and the university. Successful candidates will have teaching experience and research interests in two or more of the following subject areas: Health Care Quality/Process Improvement, Management of Health Information Systems, Health Economics, Quantitative Methods, Health Care Management, and Health Care Policy.
This position will have the primary responsibility of teaching courses in our B.S. and M.S. HSMG programs. Responsibilities include: teaching graduate/undergraduate courses at both the Baltimore campus and the Universities at Shady Grove campus (courses are offered in face-to-face, online and hybrid format), serving as a Program Director, advising students, and collaborating with others. A commitment to scholarly activities and service both to University of Baltimore and the external community is also required. This position also requires that the person hired be an active member of the faculty who contributes to program development, governance, reaccreditation efforts, and sustainability. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
