University of Baltimore —The School of Criminal Justice in the College of Public Affairs invites applications for a digital forensics (open rank) faculty position. A non-tenure track, contractual “Executive-in-Residence” would be possible for a senior practitioner with substantial experience and an appropriate terminal degree. The appointment will begin in August 2018 and is contingent upon final budgetary approval.

The School of Criminal Justice orients its academic priorities toward integration with the real world, capitalizing on geographic location in Baltimore, a real city that acts as an extended classroom and provides research opportunities. The School offers a B.S. and M.S. degree in Criminal Justice each certified by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and a B.S. and M.S. degree in Forensic Science, the undergraduate degree specializes in trace evidence, and the graduate degree is in digital forensic investigations (high technology crimes). Candidates for this position must hold at least a master’s degree, with preference for those with a Ph.D. in Forensic Science, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or related field, with professional experience in Cybersecurity/Forensics, and/or Digital Forensic Investigations. Candidates should have a record of scholarly activities appropriate to their rank and clearly demonstrate the potential for quality university instruction and service to their profession and the university. This position requires that the person hired be an active member of the faculty who contributes to program development, governance, and sustainability. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
