The Bob Parsons Veterans Center
The Space
Since making its home in the UBalt Student Center, The Bob Parsons Veterans Center has steadily made inroads in both increasing veteran student traffic and gaining status within the UBalt community. The lounge is often filled with students grabbing lunch, watching a show on TV and/or swapping stories about papers and exams. The conference room has also become a big attraction, serving as a place where students can close the door and study without interruption. In addition, the computer lab continues to draw many students throughout the day - working on homework, papers, or doing research. The Bob Parsons Veterans Center will continue to support our veteran students by providing them with services and programming that will enhance their university experience, contribute to their personal and professional growth, and recognize their service to their country and its citizens.
Student Employees
The Bob Parsons Veterans Center continues to offer a prime employment opportunity for veteran students at UBalt. The Center currently employs six veteran students and has filled three VA work study positions. These students provide administrative, marketing and design, and program support for the office. The Center operates from 9 am until 8 pm Monday through Thursday, allowing plenty of accessibility to our veteran students.
