Perfumer, Nation Fragrances
We believe that the best way to prepare for the demands of the modern workforce is to fully immerse yourself in it. That’s why UBalt is seamlessly integrated into the city and plugged into its cultural undercurrents. Diversity, redefined.
That’s what attracted Kourtney Johnson, B.S. ’15, to UBalt.
“The location, the diversity, and the amenities – I immediately loved everything about the University.”
Johnson transferred to UBalt to study entrepreneurship. Here, the faculty in the program connected Johnson with her greatest potential. “Upon graduating, I had the tools to start my own business, which I did.”
Johnson started Nation Fragrances, a unisex fragrance retailer consisting of essential oils, signature sprays, handmade chapsticks, and scented candles.
Here’s her advice for current students pursuing their UBalt degree –
“My advice to the current Bees buzzing around at UBalt is to network. Introduce yourself and be personable! I’ve met amazing people at the University, who I still keep in touch with today.”
