Government Affairs Representative, National Aquarium in Baltimore
Ryan Fredriksson, M.P.A. '16, has his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Towson University. Ryan currently works in government affairs for the National Aquarium in downtown Baltimore. While at the University of Baltimore, Ryan worked as a graduate fellow, and later an employee, at the Schaefer Center for Public Policy where he helped public sector agencies analyze and solve problems through research and survey work. Prior to his time at the University of Baltimore, Ryan had many roles in politics and served as a legislative aide in the Maryland state Senate.“I enjoy my position because it allows me to pursue my passion for politics and public service while at the same time supporting an important cause and organization.” At the National Aquarium, Ryan lobbies for issues important to the Aquarium’s mission and for public funding to support the world class nonprofit institution. He spends time at City Hall and in Annapolis meeting with officials and generating support for the Aquarium.

Ryan can be found most days reading, listening, or watching the news and supporting his favorite sports teams.
