Please join us on April 2, 2019 for an evening with Arnold Williams, CPA, as he shares insights from his career and a lifetime of investing in local economic development projects.
Williams is the Managing Director of Abrams, Foster, Nole & Williams and maintains overall responsibility for the professional accounting services delivered by our team of experienced professionals. In addition to supervising technical staff, he oversees the strategic business development efforts of the firm and continually seeks to improve the firm's internal controls. Mr.Williams places significant emphasis on client service, successfully maintaining long-term, mutually-beneficial relationships with clients, vendors and employees.
Williams has more than 40 years of experience providing accounting and consulting services for nonprofit clients. He has a passion for serving religious organizations across the country. Williams is a renowned Church Conference speaker for workshops and panel discussions; competent tax advisor and ministry advocate resolving IRS payroll notices, penalties and liens; and knowledgeable advisor to Boards concerning minister/staff compensation packages related to salaries, housing allowance, employee benefits, estimated tax payments, etc. He is skilled at structuring investment/financing opportunities to build cash resources and strengthen an organization's Statement of Financial Position, as well as evaluating cash balances to maximize investment returns.
Prior to founding AFNW, he was a Principal at Taylor, Williams & Associates, P.A.; the Assistant Legislative Auditor for the General Assembly of Maryland Department of Fiscal Services; a Hospital Cost Reimbursement Analyst at Hospital Cost Analysis Services, Inc.; and a Cost Accountant at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
