Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development, Professor of Law, Director of the Bronfein Family Law Clinic, and Co-Director of the Center on Applied Feminism, Margaret Johnson joined a national podcast hosted by Ayushmaan Mukherjee and Mikah Gay of the Menstrual Equity Initiative (MĚI), a nonprofit dedicated to advancing menstrual awareness and reform.

In the wide-ranging conversation, Johnson explored gender equality and menstrual justice through a legal and policy lens, drawing on her scholarship in menstrual and reproductive justice and her recent research as a 2023 Fulbright Scholar examining comparative menstruation law and policy in Australia. The discussion addressed structural and intersectional forms of oppression affecting women and other pregnancy-capable individuals, as well as broader questions of reproductive freedom and state constitutional law.

The episode highlights Professor Johnson’s nationally recognized scholarship and UBalt Law’s leadership in advancing conversations at the intersection of gender and the law.
