UBalt Community Members Receive Local Accolades

Members of The University of Baltimore community are in the local spotlight for their achievements in business, law and leadership. Both the Baltimore Business Journal and the Daily Record have included UBalt community members in their recent accolades.

Three alumni were included in the Business Journal's recent "40 Under 40" list of "rising stars in the Greater Baltimore business scene."

Selected from the more than 200 nominees are:

• Dimitrios Komninos, B.S. - Business '11, owner and president, Dimitri Olive Oil;
• Alison Shurick, J.D. '14, shareholder, Baker Donelson;
• Alan Tsao, B.S. - Business '11, MBA '21, founder and CEO, Tsao Baltimore Watches

"Our 2025 class represents a range of industries, communities and backgrounds in the region. Honorees were selected for their significant contributions to not only their workplaces, but also within their communities," the publication says.
