Bookstore Credits
Financial aid disbursements do not begin until after the semester starts, so students will not receive their financial aid refunds to buy books until then. (To view this year's financial aid disbursement date please see the Financial Aid Calendar). For this reason, UBalt has a bookstore credit program to assist financial aid recipients with purchasing their textbooks prior to financial aid disbursement. UBalt campus and Shady Grove students may request “credit” each term to buy textbooks, school supplies, a computer, a backpack, or other educationally necessary items. While there is a credit maximum, students whose textbook costs exceed the limit, or those who wish to buy a computer, may request additional funds. You may also request a Hive
Campus Store Credit for supplies and computers, but not textbooks, which may be used in a person with a student Bee Card at The Hive campus store located on the first floor of the Student Center in multiple transactions until the funds are exhausted, or the credit expires.

How do I Qualify?
You must be anticipating a financial aid refund in order to qualify for a Bookstore Credit. To receive a refund your anticipated financial aid must be greater than your tuition and fees. You can view your financial aid offer as well as your charges on your My Student Center (located on the top left of the MyUB Portal).
Vouchers can be awarded up to $800 per semester.
If you have further questions regarding the Bookstore Credit please see the Bookstore Credit FAQ.
