The30-creditM.S. in Cyber Forensics program prepares you to excel in a rapidly changing field
as you become an expert in investigating criminal activity involving computer and
digital information systems, recovery and analysis of data, preservation of evidence
and understanding the law. The program is designed for professionals who want to become
expert at managing advanced technological resources to combat cyber threats and related
crime.
How the program works:
Through a 10-course curriculum, you'll develop skills and knowledge in 21st-century
forensic investigations to become an agent of positive change. You'll gain practical,
hands-on experience in a brand-new digital computer lab where you'll be able to break
down computer hardware and learn to employ specific software for investigation purposes.
You'll explore:
forensic investigation techniques
computer and digital information crimes
cybersecurity attacks, threats and risk assessment
prevention and security management strategies
legal interventions and resolutions.

A Statement of Personal Interest can be submitted electronically as part of the online application.

The Maryland Police Officer Scholarship is awarded to current police officers or
individuals planning to become a police officer, who are enrolled in an academic program
that furthers their career in law enforcement. Recipients must pledge to work as a
police officer in the state upon completion of their studies.
Who May Apply?
Students that are current police officers or individuals planning to become a police
officer after graduation who are:
Accepted for admission or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
at a Maryland public senior institution.
A Maryland resident or have graduated from a Maryland high school.
Enrolled full-time or part-time pursuing a course of study or program that would further
the recipient's career in law enforcement.
