Through student-centered programs, quality services and the UB Career Cycle, we provide participants with the knowledge, resources, networks and opportunities needed to connect their education to employment in the evolving marketplace. We support students and alumni as they advance professionally and transition beyond the University by engaging the employment community in mutually beneficial relationships promoting a sustainable cycle of success.
Lakeisha leads the career center staff in building bridges between employment and education. She is a certified professional career coach, certified professional resume writer, and certified global career development facilitator. As an educator with 10+ years of experience in higher education, Lakeisha’s experience includes residence life, new student orientation, academic advising and career services. Lakeisha likes to say that she has helped students gain admission into college, remain in college and exit college—with a job! A Baltimore native, Lakeisha currently serves as co-advisor to the National Society of Leadership & Success (NSLS), the largest student group on campus. She also serves on the NSLS National Advisor Advisory Board and the Maryland Career Consortium Directors Board. Lakeisha is a past president of the Maryland Career Development Association and has attained numerous awards and recognition from both national and local organizations. Lakeisha holds a B.A in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park and a M.S. in Human Resources from Towson University. She is currently pursuing a Ed.D in Higher Education Innovation from Wilmington University. In 2016, Lakeisha co-authored a book for the Association of Training and Development called Find Your Fit.

Lana Farley brings over 12 years of experience in higher education and career development, currently serving as Associate Director in the Career and Internship Center. In this role, she leads the employer relations team, overseeing recruitment programming and events, the off-campus work-study program (JLD), data analysis, and marketing initiatives. She’s also a certified Strengths and MBTI facilitator, often found in classrooms delivering interactive sessions on leadership and personal growth.
Lana is a dedicated advocate for equity in education and workforce development. Her policy and research interests include expanding access to paid internships, integrating career readiness into K–12 education, supporting students from limited-income backgrounds, and creating pathways for justice-impacted students.
A respected leader in her field, Lana serves as President of the Maryland Career Development Association and sits on the boards of both the Maryland Counseling Association and the National Career Development Association.
She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Salisbury University, an M.A. in Human Sciences from Hood College, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at Morgan State University.

Rishika Bhatnagar is the Graduate Assistant for Employer Relations at the Career and Internship Center (CIC). She is currently in the final year of her master’s program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Baltimore. Originally from India, Rishika brings a rich international perspective and a strong foundation in Learning and Development, corporate training, and business coaching.
At CIC, Rishika plays a key role in analyzing and reporting data related to student engagement, internship participation, and First Destination Survey outcomes. She supports campus-wide data requests and provides strategic insights that contribute to institutional accreditation and continuous improvement. Her work directly informs initiatives aimed at enhancing student career readiness and strengthening employer engagement.
Driven by a passion for data-informed decision-making, Rishika is especially interested in applying psychological principles and organizational science to real-world challenges in higher education and the workplace. She aspires to build a career at the intersection of analytics, talent development, and organizational strategy. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cultures, mentoring peers, art, and creative pursuits.
Wardha Moriam is the Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Design at the Career and Internship Center at the University of Baltimore. She is currently in the first year of her MA in Integrated Design, expected to graduate in May 2027. Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, Wardha brings a rich international perspective and over six years of experience in the design industry, with a strong emphasis on UX, branding, and storytelling.
At CIC, Wardha leads design initiatives that enhance student engagement, including the development of strategic marketing campaigns and coordinating LinkedIn headshot photoshoots for professional development. Her work helps shape the visual identity of CIC while supporting student success and career readiness through thoughtful, inclusive design.
Wardha is driven by the belief that design should be an experience we live in—not just something we see. Her vision is to create design that is accessible, emotionally resonant, and human-centered. She’s especially passionate about how design intersects with storytelling and systems thinking to bring real-world impact.
Outside of work, Wardha finds joy in art, books, and all kinds of creative exploration. She has also played volleyball, table tennis, and archery, and loves staying active and engaged in her community.
