Day of Guest Instructions
- The ceremony will last approximately two hours. Doors of the venue will open approximately an hour prior to the ceremony.
- The Commencement ceremonies are at The Lyric Baltimore. The address of the venue is 140 W. Mount Royal Ave., Baltimore, MD 21201 and it will show up on all address phone applications.

Parking will be available at the Fitzgerald garage for $7.
- Pull a ticket at the entrance gate, and take it with you when you exit your vehicle.
- EITHER on your way out of the garage to the event, OR when you return to leave the campus, stop by the parking office to have your ticket validated for $7.
- With your validated parking ticket, drive to the exit gate, and insert the validated ticket into the machine. The machine will display the $7 rate.
- Pay the $7 with credit or debit at the gate. The gate will open to allow exit.
- Note: Payment may also be made at the attendant booth with Apple Pay, credit or debit.

- Street parking is available, but do take note of parking regulations, including time restrictions. Cars may be towed if you or your guest do not follow posted regulations.
- A live stream of the ceremony will be on the YouTube channel at The University of Baltimore - YouTube and will be linked at the Commencement - University of Baltimore (ubalt.edu) main page.
- We will be recording the ceremony. The video will be available to be viewed through the graduation website at www.ubalt.edu/commencement a few days after the ceremony.
- Please remember that all guests MUST have a ticket to enter the Lyric. This includes children and infants of all ages. The ushers will not allow anyone into the building without a ticket – this includes children and infants of all ages.
- Guests are not allowed to leave their seats, approach the stage, or obstruct the views of other guests to take photos or video during the graduation ceremony. After the ceremony, photography will be allowed outside.
- No guest or graduate will be permitted reentry after passing through the security check and entering the venue. To prevent difficulty please make sure you have everything you need with you, prior to entering the venue.
- Please make sure to review the prohibited items list below and plan appropriately.

Some final reminders:
- To prevent confusion, graduates and their guests should determine in advance a place to meet after the ceremony that is located outside of the venue.
- Turn off cell phones or have them in airplane mode. Please refrain from checking cell phones during the ceremony.
- Note to all students, their families and guests: Please know that every effort is made to ensure that names are pronounced properly at commencement. Students who have names that may be difficult to pronounce are offered an opportunity to spell their name phonetically for the readers and are also able to share the proper pronunciation just prior to the announcement being made.
- A reception will be held in the Angelos Law Center immediately following the Undergraduate ceremony, approximately 4 p.m., for all students, guests, faculty, and staff. This is hosted by The Office of Alumni Relations.
