What is a Tutorial?
When most people think of a tutorial, they imagine a short online video that explains some simple technical task: how to fix a faucet, for example. Here at UBalt, we think of a tutorial slightly differently.
Tutorials are at the heart of higher education at places like Oxford and Cambridge in England. A good description can be found here. They involve a small number of students meeting weekly with a faculty member, presenting papers on assigned topics based on readings, and then discussing and criticizing those papers. Tutorials provide rigorous instruction that promotes critical, interdisciplinary thinking, skills that are essential to become a successful entrepreneur.
