The University of Baltimore's Hoffberger Center for Ethical Engagement, the Center for Digital Communication, Commerce, and Culture, and the University's Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations degree program will host a panel discussion, "AI and the Human Experience," on Monday, March 2 from noon to 2 p.m. in Room 412 of UBalt's Bogomolny Library, 1420 Maryland Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
This panel discussion will explore the complex relationship between artificial intelligence
(AI), social media, and the human experience. Rather than focusing on the technical
mechanics of AI and social media, it will explore the technology's ethical, social,
psychological, and creative
implications.
Panelists include Odia Kane and Debra JH Matthews, a postdoctoral fellow and the assistant director for science programs, respectively, at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics; Lo Smith, community activist; and Greg Walsh, the Bob "PXG" Parsons Professor at The University of Baltimore.
