The University of Baltimore School of Law  Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

Alll you need to know for Commencement

We are excited to celebrate your achievements at this year’s commencement ceremony. 

 

Doors Open: Guests may begin arriving at 11:30 am 

Ceremony Length: Approximately 2 hours 

Guests: All guests must have a ticket including children and infants 

 

Parking & Transportation 

Parking is available at: 

 

  • The Fitzgerald Garage
  • Symphony Center Garage
  • Maryland Avenue Garage

Flowers  

Guests may pre-order flowers through the Commencement Group flower pre-order page. Flowers will also be available for purchase at the venue entrance.

 

Photography 

GradImages will photograph each graduate: 

  • Approaching the stage
  • Receiving their diploma
  • Exiting the stage 

Graduates will receive instructions on how to access and purchase photos. 

 

Class of 2026 T-Shirts 

Commemorative T-shirts featuring the names of all graduates will be available for purchase. 

The School of Law covers the cost of rental regalia. All graduates participating in the ceremony must wear official academic regalia. 

  • Order regalia through the UBalt Law regalia ordering page.
  • Order deadline: April 20, 2026
  • Regalia ships directly to your home
  • Keep the box and the included return label 

Bring the following with you on commencement day: 

  • Tam 
  • Tassel 
  • Hood
  • Robe
  • No extras are available on site. 

After the ceremony: 

  • The tam and tassel may be kept
  • The gown and hood must be returned using the prepaid shipping label by May 29, 2026.
  • Instructions for wearing the hood are available on Herff Jones hood-wearing instruction video.

Purchasing Regalia (Optional):

Graduates who would like to purchase regalia to keep may order regalia from Herff Jones.

  • Purchase deadline: April 1, 2026
  • Purchased regalia differs slightly from rental and includes an attached tassel. 

Tickets will be delivered electronically through Tassel. 

  • Graduates initially receive 10 tickets
  • Initial release date: April 13
  • Additional tickets: A limited number will be available upon request starting May 1 

Tickets are required for all guests, including infants. Graduates do not need a ticket but must bring their Bee Card. 

 

Before receiving tickets students must complete: 

  • Mandatory employment survey with the LCDO
  • An exit interview with the LCDO by Friday, April 24 

The employment survey opens on Monday, March 16. 
Schedule exit interviews via UB Law Connect.  

 

Note: This survey is different from the November graduation audit survey. 

 

The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is an ADA compliant and fully accessible facility. 

 

Requesting Accommodations: 

 

During ticket registration through Tassel, graduates may request accommodations for themselves or their guests.  

 

Seating: 

Accessible seating, including wheelchair seating, is available throughout the hall. After a student submits a request for guest seating accommodations, the Meyerhoff will pre-assign seats based on the requested needs. 

 

Accessible Entrances: 

We recommend the Cohen Wing entrance (251 Huntington Avenue), which offers: 

 

  • Curb cut for wheelchairs
  • Convenient drop-off area
  • Trained staff available to assist guests
  • Wheelchairs are available upon request. 

Restrooms 

All restrooms at the Meyerhoff are accessible. 
A gender-neutral restroom is located on the first balcony level near the Beranek Room.
