Save the Date for Fall 2026 New Student Orientation sessions

Tuesday, Aug. 25: Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences and First-Time Undergraduate Students

5-8 p.m., UBalt Student Center

Registration is open. 

 

Wednesday, Aug. 26: College of Public Affairs Students and Merrick School of Business

5-8 p.m., UBalt Student Center

    • Transit Options
    • Parking will be available at the Fitzgerald Garage for a self-service $7 pre-pay at the gate for students and guests. When guests arrive, the gate machine will display the $7 rate, and they'll be able to pay using a debit or credit card ONLY before entering the garage.  After payment, the machine will issue a receipt, which they will use to exit when they leave.

  • Attending UBalt at the Universities at Shady Grove Campus? The Division of Student Affairs and Career Readiness will be hosting three in-person New Student Orientation sessions to prepare incoming undergraduate and graduate students for the upcoming semester. They invite all USG academic programs to participate in one, two, or all three of the following sessions. All sessions will take place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Register for the below date(s) with this link. 

    • Thursday, June 18
    • Tuesday, July 21
    • Wednesday, August 19
  • If your program plans to create its own registration form, please notify the event coordinator, Erin Moore at emoore04@umd.edu, so that they can plan accordingly.
  • Validated parking will be available in the Shady Grove Garaga.
  • If your academic program would like to host an academic session during one or more orientation dates, please contact Erin Moore at emoore04@umd.edu. 

  • For students who are unable to attend one of the in-person sessions, virtual orientation modules are available here

  • All UBalt at The Universities at Shady Grove students have access to UBalt Ready and the Orientation Virtual Resource Center.
