    Jennifer Artis

    Assistant Director, Graduate Admission

    Hometown: Youngstown, Ohio

    Favorite thing about Baltimore:
The awesome food. I am a foodie, so I love that I am surrounded by so many great restaurants.

    Favorite thing about UB:
The diverse population of students. It is great to be able to experience and have conversations with people from all walks of life.

Best part about being an admission counselor:
Making dreams become a reality. It’s a great feeling to help people achieve their goals.

    Jessica Lucas

    Sr. Graduate Admission Counselor

    Hometown: Columbia, MD

    Favorite thing about Baltimore:
The people and the energy. There is so much life, color and vibrancy that simultaneously makes for the feel of a big city and of a small neighborhood.

    Favorite thing about UB:
The spirit of "you matter at UB." As an organization, we carry ourselves with this sense of value, inclusion and purpose; this spirit colors everything we do.

Best part about being an admission counselor:
We hear so many people's stories and journeys. I love being a (very) small part of the change that our students and communities are seeking to be.

    Nathaniel Benham

    Sr. Graduate Admission Counselor

    Hometown: Raleigh, NC

    Favorite thing about Baltimore:
    Baltimore Ravens!

    Favorite thing about UB:
The University of Baltimore is a reflection of the city of Baltimore with its diversity and unique approach to solving problems for the community.

Best part about being an admission counselor:
Getting that student admitted to school that thought that graduate studies would never happen for them. I love the seeing the excitement of a student being admitted and then seeing them years down the road graduate from the program.

  • craig

    Craig Jefferson

    Sr. International Admission Counselor

    Hometown: Bowie, MD

    Favorite thing about Baltimore:
What I love about Baltimore is it’s accessibility, and that it is a city for everyone. I can walk nearly everywhere from my neighborhood, whether it be to the harbor, Fort McHenry, or an O’s game. And if I get restless on the weekends, I can drive 10 minutes to Patapsco State Park and spend the day hiking along the river. And with DC 45 minutes south and NY 2.5 hours north, short getaways are never out of reach.

    Favorite thing about UB:
The students and the location. The school is located in the culturally rich neighborhood of Mt. Vernon, so restaurants, shows, and galleries are at our doorstep. And being across from Penn Station means we can serve a diverse group of students from all walks of life.

Best part about being an admission counselor:
The opportunity to meet and interact with students and help them achieve their goals.
