Manage your career.

Find your career coach and your career community.

UB Career Communities are organized by academic major and provide an opportunity to receive career resources related to a specific industry. Each Career Community is led by a career specialist in the Career and Professional Development Center. Assigned career specialists are available for individual career coaching appointments and can assist with:

  • making a career change
  • selecting a major
  • gaining experience
  • graduate school planning
  • internship assistance
  • interview preparation
  • job search assistance
  • resumes and cover letters
  • professional branding.

Register on UBworks (accessible through MyUB) to stay connected with your career specialist, schedule an individual career coaching session, sign up for emails with industry-related job and internship postings and learn about upcoming special events.

 Schedule an Appointment

  • Schedule appointments in UBworks (in the "Tools" section of MyUB)
  • If you are registered in UBworks, access your account and click "Request an Appointment."
  • Call us at 410.837.5440.
  • No-Show Policy

When a student fails to show up for a scheduled appointment it negatively impacts their fellow students' access to Career and Professional Development Center appointments. With a limited number of appointments available each week and an increasing demand for these appointment times, we ask that you call the center at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to cancel. A "no-show" will be declared when 15 minutes has elapsed past the original start time of the scheduled appointment. Any student who accumulates three no-shows within a single semester may be asked to meet with the center's director and/or have appointment privileges suspended for the remainder of the semester. All other services—such as walk-in appointments, workshops and online resources—will still be made available during the suspension. We thank you for your cooperation and for your consideration of your fellow UB students.
  • Late Policy

Due to the impact lateness has on your fellow classmates, if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late or if you are unable to make your appointment, please call the front desk at 410.837.5440. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment and fail to contact the front desk, you may be advised to reschedule for the next available time. If you arrive less than 15 minutes late and/or call ahead, your appointment will be reduced by the number of minutes you arrive late.
