There are so many service opportunities out there it can be difficult to know where to start. Our staff can help you find opportunities that work for your interests and goals. Through the Bee Engaged platform, you can make connections to to numerous local agencies and nonprofit organizations. For any events below, please register through Bee Involved.
- Campus Pantry: Join us in providing food and resources for students, staff, and faculty at UBalt experiencing Hunger. Donate or volunteer to serve our campus community!
- Community Service Day: Join faculty, staff and students in service projects at more than a dozen sites throughout Baltimore during UBalt's campuswide day of service. This event traditionally takes place in October. Register here for the Fall 2024 event on Friday, October 18.
- MLK Day of Service: Each January, to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, UBalt students and staff join the 6th Branch in their efforts to clean up and revitalize a neighborhood nearby.
- 50 in 5 Challenge: In the five months between October and March, all UBalt students, staff, and faculty are challenged to serve 50 hours of community engagement and volunteer work as we further connect and build bridges in our city.
- Previous Service-Learning Opportunities Include:
- Alternative Breaks: Students spent a week in service, learning about a challenging social issue, exploring another culture and way of life, and engaging with and learning from a unique community.
- Governor's Day to Serve: Students celebrated this statewide day of service by working with other UBalt students to complete projects for a site that serves those in need in Baltimore.
