At the Merrick School of Business, we see it every day: students who show up with
ambition and leave transformed. That's why our faculty created Student of the Week—a
weekly recognition that honors one undergraduate or graduate student whose hard work
and determination set them apart.
Each Student of the Week is featured across our digital platforms—from the Thumel
Business Center's lobby screen to our social media platforms and the UBalt website.
This month the following students were honored:
"I love how The University of Baltimore truly supports working students through its Career Center, Writing Labs, and welcoming student organizations that create a strong sense of community and professional growth."Nominated by: Dr. Jan Williams
"My Merrick School of Business experience has given me the opportunity to pursue my goals with confidence. Each course builds real-world skills, supported by dedicated professors who truly invest in student success."Nominated by: Dr. Dong Chen
William Thompson demonstrates what's possible when ambition meets opportunity at UBalt's
MBA program. As a Graduate Assistant in the College of Public Affairs and Treasurer of
Beta Alpha Psi, William is building real-world leadership skills while advancing his education.
His commitment to excellence—both in the classroom and in professional settings—shows
how Merrick School students forge their own path to success through hard work and
community engagement. He was the Student of the Week for Mar. 23.
In his words.
