The University of Baltimore, in partnership with Google, the University System of Maryland, the National Association of Higher Education Systems, and the University of Texas System, is proud to offer Google Career Certificates to all UBalt undergraduate and graduate students, veterans and active military, faculty, staff and now, alumni too! Each course can be completed in under six months with less than 10 hours of study per week, making them ideal for busy schedules.

Get ready for a night of spine-chilling stories and historic charm as writer and Baltimore-history buff Tim Paggi, MFA '15, returns to lead alums on another guided ghost tour ... only this time, we'll be in UBalt’s neck of the (haunted) woods. On Saturday, Oct. 24, you'll hear all about those who have never checked out of the Belvedere, a séance gone wrong, and more than one grand dame who still oversees the activities of her historic home. $25 Tickets include the tour, plus one drink ticket for a ghoulish gathering at The Owl Bar after our walk.
Alumni author Lawrence Burney, B.A. '14, joins professor D. Watkins, B.A. '09, MFA '14, on Wednesday, Nov. 4 to discuss Burney's latest work, No Sense in Wishing, which was just named Maryland Humanities' 2026 selection for One Maryland, One Book. Open to alums and guests. Discussion will be followed by a Q&A, a reception and book signing. Copies will be available for purchase.
