The Fannie Angelos Program for Academic Excellence

Four people converse at a formal event. Two women shake hands while a man in a suit speaks with them, and another woman stands nearby.

Fannie Angelos Program students and faculty pose together at a formal gala in front of an event backdrop. Alt text should be concise and convey the image’s purpose rather than every visible detail.

The Fannie Angelos Program for Academic Excellence is a revolutionary approach to providing access to the legal profession.

The Program, winner of the ABA diversity leadership award, is a ground-breaking collaboration between  the School of Law and Maryland’s HBCUs. This race-neutral, merit-based program creates an exceptional pathway for students from under-represented and underserved populations to enter the legal profession. Application will open on August 17, 2026 through September 30, 2026.

This project received funding from the Law School Admission Council, Inc. (LSAC). The opinions and conclusions contained in this document are the opinions and conclusions of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the position or policy of LSAC.
