Building & Visitor Access Protocols

Thank you for following our Angelos Law Center access protocols.

Building Hours:

  • The Angelos Law Center building is open, with Security Ambassadors on duty daily from 7 am to midnight, seven days per week.
  • The building is closed between midnight and 7 am with no access allowed. All employees, students, and visitors must exit the building at midnight; no exceptions.

Bee Card Holder Access:

  • Bee Card holders (students, faculty, staff, and other affiliates) are required to enter the building through the front doors of the Angelos Law Center and swipe their Bee Cards at the welcome desk each time they enter the building.
  • Bee Card holders accessing the building via the front non-revolving doors should swipe their Bee Card outside of those doors, follow the pathway into the building, and again swipe in at the welcome desk.
  • Whether you enter through the front revolving or non-revolving door, swiping your Bee Card at the welcome desk is required to ensure that everyone is authenticated, and we know who is in our building for safety reasons.
  • If you enter or exit through a non-revolving door, please make sure the door closes behind you.
  • Please note that building entry and regular exit are no longer available via the side doors and gates on Charles Street and/or Mount Royal Avenue. All gates and doors remain accessible only for emergency exit.
  • Non-Revolving Doors: If you enter or exit through a non-revolving door, ensure the door closes completely behind you. Some of these doors do not close automatically. Do not prop open any door or leave any doors open.

Visitor Access:

  • All visitors must arrange their visit to the School of Law in advance.
  • Upon arrival, a visitor’s name must be on the approved visitors list for the day OR the visitor must be personally escorted into the building by a faculty or staff member.
  • Only Bee Card holders may authorize building access for non-Bee Card holder visitors as set forth below.
  • Visitors must enter the building through the front doors of the Angelos Law Center and must be approved for entry by a Security Ambassador prior to building access.
  • All visitors will be asked to show identification, sign in, and create a visitor badge.
  • Once approved for entry, visitors must wear the visitor badge while in the building.
  • Security Ambassadors are not responsible for contacting relevant offices to facilitate entry and will be limited in their ability to call or email individual faculty and staff to obtain approval for a visitor to enter. Visitors should have contact information for the individual/office they wish to visit in case there are questions during the entry process.

Faculty and Staff Visitors

  • Faculty and staff who are expecting visitors must fill out a TeamDynamix (TDX) form via the MyUBalt portal to notify the security of the visit. Please fill this out at least one (1) business day in advance of the visit. Individual visitor requests will need to be filled out for under 5 visitors attending the same event or meeting. In circumstances where filling out the TDX form in advance of a visitor’s arrival is not possible, faculty and staff members may also personally meet the visitor at the welcome desk, provide approval to the Security Ambassador, assist the visitor through the check in process, and accompany the visitor to their building destination.
  • For groups of 5-50 visitors, please download, fill out, and upload the Excel bulk visitor request sheet in TDX at least 24 hours before the group’s arrival. For groups of visitors over 60 attending the same meeting or event, a check-in table staffed for the entirety entire of the event/meeting by the sponsoring department will be required.
