August 2025

  • Alan Foreman, J.D. ’75, has received the Dr. J. David Richardson Industry Service Award from the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.
  • Gregory Lawrence, J.D. ’98, joined the board of directors at the West Liberty University Foundation in West Virginia.
  • Donald F. Walter Jr., J.D. ’07, was appointed to the Harford County District Court by Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.
  • Kathleen McGinley, J.D. ’09, has been named managing principal at the Baltimore office of Jackson Lewis.
  • Nick Kosmas, J.D. ’13, was appointed vice chair of the Association for Consumer Debt Relief, the national leader in promoting ethical, consumer‑focused debt relief practices.
  • Naseam Jabberi, J.D. ’21, started a new position as an associate at Slater Slater Schulman LLP, in New York, advocating for survivors of child sex abuse.
  • Austin Scott, J.D. ’22, returned to Franklin & Prokopik’s liability practice in Baltimore.
  • Arriana Sajjad, J.D. ’22, is an associate at Morgan Lewis & Bockius in Washington, D.C.
  • Tanner Myers, J.D. ’23, started a new position as senior compliance officer at Brown Advisory in Baltimore.
  • Ashley Hass, J.D. ’23, was promoted to supervising attorney at Sanabria and Associates in Silver Spring, MD.
  • Steven A. Allen, J.D. ’75, passed away on July 18, 2025, in Baltimore.

July 2025

  • The Hon. Bryon Bereano, J.D. ’99, will receive the 2025 Judicial Education Award from the American Bar Association on Aug. 8 at its annual meeting in Toronto. The award recognizes outstanding commitment to delivering high-quality education and training to members of the judiciary.
  • Christopher W. Adams, J.D. ’06, a partner at Squire Patton Boggs in Washington, D.C., was named to the inaugural Forbes magazine list of Best In-State Lawyers.                                                    
  • Bob Yeager, J.D. ’11, became director of the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation after serving as deputy director for a year.
  • Lisa Cunningham, J.D. ’12, has launched her own VA disability law practice, LCD Law, in Austin, TX. 
  • Gary Damico, J.D. ’13, has joined Nguyen Roche Sutton in Baltimore as a partner in the firm’s real estate practice.
  • Phoebe Neseth, J.D. ’16, was promoted to vice president of Government Relations, Public Affairs and Legal at the Community Associations Institute in Falls Church, VA.
  • Jessica Duvall, J.D. ’18, started a new position as an associate with Levin Gann in Towson, MD.
  • Capt. Christopher Numer, J.D. ’18, was named the U.S. Army Reserve 2025 Judge Advocate of the Year. He received the LTC Arch McKeever Award during a ceremony at Fort Bragg, N.C.
  • Beatrice C. Thomas, J.D. ’19, was installed as president of the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland for the 2025-2026 year.
  • Jillian Horaneck, J.D. ’23, started a new position as an associate at Capehart Scatchard in Mount Laurel, N.J. 
  • Arianne Sandhu, J.D. ’24, started a new position as an associate with Milstein Siegel in Ellicott City, MD.
  • David S. Harvis, J.D. ’75, passed away on May 16, 2025 in Columbia, MD.
  • Gary Elliott Dumer Jr., J.D. ’94, passed away on July 8, 2025 in Bel Air, MD.

  • Nasim Deylami Fussell, J.D. ’09, was named vice president of trade and international policy at the Business Roundtable, an advocacy association of more than 200 chief executive officers of American companies.
  • Heather Arbogast, J.D. ’10, was recognized in the 2025 Chambers and Partners USA Guide. She is a partner at McGuireWoods in Baltimore, MD.
  • Andrew Moss, J.D. ’10, was named deputy comptroller for community and industry relations in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington, D.C.
  • Courtney Colonese, J.D. ’13, started a new position as Cite Checker for the Massachusetts Law Review, at the Massachusetts Bar Association.
  • Ben Middleton, J.D. ’15, started a new position as attorney at Humphreys, McLaughlin & McAleer in Baltimore, MD.
  • Jessica Duvall, J.D. ’18, started a new position as an associate at Levin Gann in Towson, MD.
  • Genna J. Hoy, J.D. ’18, has joined the board of Empower4Life, a nonprofit serving homeless youth in Baltimore and Harford County, MD.

  • Niels Drury, J.D. ’24, has joined the Maryland Office of the Public Defender as an assistant public defender.

  • Carl A. Maio, J.D. ’73, retired on April 1, 2025 as senior partner with Fox Rothschild LLP in Pennsylvania.
  • Jill Joline Myers, J.D. ’81, has retired after 20 years at Western Illinois University, most recently as director of the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration.
  • Robert Anbinder, J.D. ’92, received the Charles H. Dorsey Jr. Mentor Award from the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
  • Lauren Frick, J.D. ’03, was promoted to president at Steinman Communications and the Steinman Foundation, in Lancaster, PA.
  • Pooja Shivangi Amin, J.D. ’07, has joined the board of The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston.
