The Office of Institutional Effectiveness coordinates the University’s planning, assessment,
accreditation and institutional research efforts through the following specific, skilled
functions:
The Office completes institutional research reporting for external stakeholders such
as IPEDS, USM, and MHEC. The OIE supports reporting by other campus units to their
external stakeholders, i.e. compliance reporting.
The OIE promotes proactive reporting and advances collaborative and creative analysis
of institutional data among campus stakeholders, i.e. internal data requests.
The OIE supports the infusion of institutional data within the university’s operations,
decision-making, assessment and accreditation processes, prioritizing closing the
loop efforts.
The OIE in collaboration with CELTT coordinates and supports assessment and accreditation
efforts by academic and non-academic units.
The University of Baltimore is committed to continuous quality improvement through

The University continually evaluates its effectiveness, providing the University community
with data and analyses to inform planning, to guide decision-making, to improve student
learning and to advance UBalt's efforts to achieve its mission and goals.
The University of Baltimore Office of Institutional Effectiveness produces several
annual reports for internal and external stakeholders. This includes both regular
reporting and planning reports.
