Binding Early Decision Program

The Binding Early Decision Program is available only to applicants seeking admission to the Part-Time Evening Program. Applicants who are certain that the University of Baltimore School of Law is their first-choice law school may apply through the Binding Early Decision Program.

 

The Binding Early Decision Program opens when the J.D. application opens on September 15 and closes on January 1. Applicants who apply under the Binding Early Decision Program after the January 1 deadline will automatically be moved to standard admissions review without binding early decision consideration. To be considered for the Binding Early Decision Program, applicants must submit a complete application no later than January 1. Applicants who submit a complete Binding Early Decision application will receive a decision within 30 business days of the date their application becomes complete.

 

Applicants admitted through the Binding Early Decision Program will receive a guaranteed scholarship of $5,000 per year, renewable each year provided the student maintains the scholarship conditions.

 

Applicants admitted through the Binding Early Decision Program are required to enroll at the University of Baltimore School of Law, withdraw applications from all other law schools, provide proof of withdrawal within five (5) days of admission, submit the Binding Intent to Enroll form within five (5) days of admission, and refrain from initiating new applications to any other law school. Applicants admitted through the Binding Early Decision Program are not eligible to defer enrollment.

 

Applicants who are not admitted through the Binding Early Decision Program will be moved into the general, nonbinding application process. Once moved into the general process, applicants are no longer bound by the Binding Early Decision Program requirements. Being moved into the general applicant pool does not mean that the applicant has been denied admission; it means the application will continue to receive consideration through the regular admissions process.
