The University of Baltimore offers 12-credit graduate certificates that provide an affordable way to expand your expertise or to build new skills for a shift in careers. Most programs are offered both online and in person. Residents of Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, and regions of Northern Virginia and Southcentral Pennsylvania may be eligible for in-state tuition.

Business Certificates

Accounting Fundamentals
- Credits earned in this certificate may be used toward the completion of the M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services.
- Six (6) credits earned in this certificate may be transferred to the UBalt MBA.
Business Fundamentals
Business Valuation
- Credits earned in this certificate may be used toward the completion of the M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services.
Essential Conflict Resolution
- Credits earned in this certificate may also be used toward the completion of the M.S. in Negotiations and Conflict Management.

Design certificates

User Experience (UX) Design
- Completion of this certificate can contribute toward the M.S. in Interaction Design and Information Architecture.
Advanced UX Research
- This certificate is offered fully online.
- Credits earned in this certificate may be used toward the completion of the M.S. in Interaction Design and Information Architecture or the D.S. in Interaction and Information Design.

- This certificate requires 18 credits to complete. Students must have, or be in, a graduate counseling psychology program.

- Unless otherwise indicated, all certificate programs may be completed in-person at our Baltimore campus, online, or through a combination of in-person and online courses.
Length: 12 credit hours equals 4 courses
Regional Tuition
- Residents of Washington DC, Delaware, 12 counties in Virginia, and of 4 southcentral Pennsylvania counties are eligible for in-state tuition rates. Students in some online graduate programs are eligible for in-state tuition regardless of residency. Please see this page for more information.
