Detailed course schedule will be posted here when available.
Generally speaking, teaching will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., with afternoons
free. There may be an occasional guest lecture in the afternoon or evening. Students
will have weekends to travel while visiting Scotland. Partners and children are welcome
to join in field trips, as appropriate, with advance notice to Aberdeen team.
Draft Class Schedule for 2026:
Classes will run 1hr and 50 minutes each, with a 15 minute tea and biscuit break.
The first session will start at 0:905 am and the second session will start at 11:10
am on each teaching day.
The Draft program for 2026 is as follows:
Week 1
Monday, 5th July – Orientation Day for all students – welcome luncheon and tour of
University from morning until early afternoon
Tuesday, 6th July – Teaching Day 9-1 pm
Wednesday, 7th July - Teaching Day 9-1 pm
Thursday 8th July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Friday, 9th July –No Teaching – Edinburgh Trip - (Staff and Students can plan to stay
in Edinburgh at their own expense or go travelling and do not need to return to Aberdeen
on the coach).
Week 2
Tuesday, 14th July - Teaching Day 9-1 pm
Wednesday, 15th July - Teaching Day 9-1 pm
Thursday 16th July - Teaching Day 9-1 pm
One afternoon during this week there will likely be a cultural trip, such as a trip
to a local castle - Fyvie Castle | National Trust for Scotland and a stop at a Whisky
Shop - Inverurie Whisky Shop. Students will be taken by bus after class, provided
a packed lunch and return to Aberdeen around 5:30 pm.
Week 3
Tuesday, 21st July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Wednesday, 22nd July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Thursday 23rd July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Friday, 24th July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
One afternoon during this week, there will likely be an official welcome to the City
of Aberdeen by the Lord Provost who are invited to the Town House for a tour and afternoon
tea.
Week 4
Monday, 27th July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Tuesday, 28th July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Wednesday, 29th July - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Thursday 30thJuly - Teaching Day 9-1pm
Friday, 31st July – Review Sessions for both courses are scheduled between 0900 –
1200 hrs, directly followed by a Final Lunch in Sir Duncan Rice Library.
