Hoang Nguyen is a professor of finance and holds The John P. and Margaret Thompson Professorship.
The Thompson Professorship supports a Merrick School of Business faculty who are dedicated
to preparing students for skills of the future. This award recognizes faculty who
leverage emerging technologies to enhance educational outcomes.
Dr. Hoang Nguyen is a graduate of the UBalt M.S. in Business-Finance program.

Mikhail Pevzner is a professor of accounting and holds the E&Y Chair in Accounting. The Ernst & Young Chair in Accounting serves as a vital bridge between the rigors of the academy and the evolving demands of the accounting profession. By recognizing a faculty member who excels in both scholarship and pedagogy, this chair honors a professor who advances the discipline while simultaneously mentoring the next generation of practitioners.

Amir Pezeshkan is a professor of management and holds the CSX Leadership Chair. The CSX Leadership Chair honors a faculty member at the Merrick School of Business whose work leads by demonstration rather than by declaration. A scholar-educator whose research contributes to the field and whose teaching incorporates key findings in the field and helps the School of Business grow.



Jan Williams is a professor of accounting holds the MBA Class of '83 Impact Professorship. This
professorship offers the dean of the Merrick School of Business to recognize a faculty member who shows outstanding
commitment to both classroom excellence and meaningful connections between business
education and professional practice.
Dr. Williams is a graduate of the UBalt M.S. in Taxation program.

Nafeesa Yunus is a professor of finance and real estate currently holds the Harry Y. Wright Chair in Finance. The Wright Chair recognizes faculty whose finance research portfolio is matched by dedication to quality teaching and service. They are the kind of professor whose research informs the decisions of policymakers and practitioners alike, and whose combined excellence across all facets of academic life defines the very highest aspirations of the Merrick School of Business.

Cong Zhang is an assistant professor of information systems and holds the Mary and William Baker Chair. Advancing the Merrick School’s mission requires a dedicated effort across every facet of academic life—teaching, research, service leadership. The Mary & William G. Baker Faculty Fellows are chosen for their ability to translate that mission into tangible results for our students and our city.

Ting Zhang is a professor of economics and leads the School's faculty. She holds the Harry Y. Wright Chair in Economics.
